Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
- PRT:
- Graduation (50%+ marks) + B.El.Ed/2-year D.El.Ed (NCTE-recognized) OR
- B.Ed (for existing APS teachers employed before 11 August 2023, with Bridge Course compliance) 215.
- TGT:
- Graduation (50%+ marks in relevant subject) + B.Ed (50%+ marks, NCTE-recognized) 26.
- PGT:
- Post-Graduation (50%+ marks) + B.Ed (50%+ marks, NCTE-recognized) 28.
2. Age Limit
- Fresh Candidates: Below 40 years.
- Experienced Teachers (5+ years): 40–55 years

Exam Pattern and Syllabus
OST Structure:
- Mode: Online (Computer-Based Test).
- Duration: 3 hours.
- Sections:
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs (10 marks): National/global events.
- Pedagogy & Education Policy (20 marks): Teaching methodologies, child psychology.
- Academic Proficiency (170 marks): Subject-specific knowledge.
- Marking: +1 for correct, -0.25 for incorrect answers.
Post-OST Process:
- Interview: School-specific, assessing teaching philosophy and communication.
